Short Term Youth Exchange Program
 
 
SEE Program Information
  • Family to Family exchange: 2-3 weeks abroad living with a “host family”, plus 2-3 weeks hosting your “sibling” from abroad in your home here in the Hudson Valley.
  • SEE’s purpose is to promote international peace, goodwill and understanding through cultural exchange.  You are our Ambassador!
  • Possible country choices include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia & Spain.
  • Available to boys or girls in grades 9-11.  Host family matches are based on participant age, gender, country preferences & interests.
  • Rotary or Interact families preferred, but not required.
  • You can be sponsored by any Rotary Club from Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan or Ulster Counties.
  • All costs are paid by participants, including airfare, spending money, host gifts, costs of hosting/entertaining your “sibling” from abroad here at your home, and a $400 fee for insurance, orientation and exchange program administration.
  • Applicant/Parent responsibilities include application, interview, coordination with local Rotary Club, Passport/Visas, hosting & entertaining the “sibling” from abroad.
  • Applications will be available on our website in January 2017, and are due to your local Rotary Club sponsor by February 15, 2017.
  • Local Rotary Club volunteer sponsor responsibilities include program promotion, application review & approval, interviews at applicant’s home to confirm conformance to hosting requirements, general support to local family while hosting.
