At their January 11, 2017 meeting, the District's Finance Committee, which is chaired by PDG Drew Kessler, worked in collaboration with District Governor Elect Jim Damiani to develop and ultimately approve a Proposed 2017-18 District Budget.  In this process it was noted that over the past four years the District's net assets have decreased by an average of approximately $8,500 annually, due in large part to the steadily increasing costs of, and participation in, important training programs for our members.  In the context that our District 7210 member dues are significantly less than the dues of the comparable Districts in our region, the Finance Committee recommended that the member dues be carefully increased each year until such time as the District 7210 dues are similar to comparable Districts and/or we consistently achieve an appropriate annual increase in net assets.

The 2017-18 District Budget proposes an increase in member dues from $38/member and $300/club to $43/member and $340/club, which is intended to limit the District's reliance on the use of it's reserve funds while keeping the dues at or below the dues of the comparable Districts in the region.

The Proposed 2017-18 District Budget will be reviewed and voted upon by the District 7210 Clubs' 2017-18 Presidents.  For questions/comments regarding the Proposed 2017-18 District Budget, please contact Finance Committee Chair Drew Kessler at dkessler@mtb.com or District Governor Elect Jim Damiani at jamesvdamiani@gmail.com.

Dear 2016-17 Club Officer:

Greetings from Rotary. Your Club and District Support (CDS) team is contacting you today to remind you of the IRS annual filing requirement for all Rotary clubs in the U.S. and U.S. territories.  read full letter

The Rotary International convention in Atlanta looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. They expect 40,000 Rotarians to attend. That's 40,000 people from around the world that are committed to helping make the world a better place. How cool!

We have some rooms left in our room block; some at The Omni which is right on the convention site for $237 per night. Some at The Marriott Marquis for $205 per night. The Marriott is 7/10 of a mile from the convention site. If you would like to reserve one of the rooms please email me at jsiegel523@gmail.com or call me at 845-798-0783.   District 7210 is going to be well represented and it's going to be enriching and a lot of fun.  Don't delay-we only have a few rooms and they are going fast.

Plans are still in the works for a District 7210 gathering  and, as we get closer to the date we will explore whether there are good travel options that can shared. If you have any ideas, thoughts or questions, please let me know.  We are looking forward to the International Convention and to the opportunity to meet Rotarians from around the world and to connect with others from our district.

As always, thanks for all you do. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Club Officers,

We plan to make your club’s July 2017 invoice available online around the middle of July. We use the membership data that’s in Rotary’s database as of 1 July to generate the invoice, so we’re asking you to make sure that your club’s information is current by then. Having an accurate membership figure is vitally important, so we can no longer adjust invoices after they’re made available.

What you can do to help ensure that your club’s invoice will be accurate:
