Short Biography – Anja Djogo

Anja is an associate based in Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti’s Hamilton office. Before joining the Firm in September 2022, Anja summered and articled at a full-service national firm in Toronto.

Anja is a Hamiltonian with a passion for labour and employment law. She provides strategic, solutions-oriented advice to employers of all sizes and industries in respect of their workplace matters. Anja is also a strong advocate who skillfully represents her clients in litigation before the civil courts, employment-related tribunals, and labour arbitrators. 

Anja received her Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in 2018 and, thereafter, earned her Juris Doctor from Western University in 2021. During her studies, Anja was involved in numerous Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion-based initiatives, from promoting the rights of women in business, to aiding in the organization of events aimed at promoting access to justice for Indigenous communities. Anja also volunteered at Community Legal Services where she helped support clients with a variety of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Currently, Anja is the Vice President of Networking and Professional Development at Serbian-Canadian Professionals in Law (SPIL-USP), where she assists in connecting members of the legal community through networking and professional development initiatives, student engagement activities, and various philanthropic events.
