Bill Proctor – Rotary Club of Kitchener
– Biography –
Bill has been a member of the Rotary Club of Kitchener since 2000. He has been active on many committees and has served as chair of the Youth Exchange and Membership committees. He has been a member of the board of directors since 2008 and served as president of the club for the 2009-10 year. He is currently chair of the club’s Meeting and Memberships Support Committee. Bill joined the District Training committee in 2011 and served as the Director of Training for the district for several years. Bill is a multiple Paul Harris recipient. Bill is a graduate of and facilitator with the Rotary Leadership Institute.
In addition to working in Rotary, Bill is a volunteer with the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Waterloo-Wellington Ground Water Festival, and the Waterloo-Wellington Science & Engineering Fair. He also assists his wife Judy with her work with the May Court Club of Kitchener-Waterloo, the oldest women’s service club in Canada.
Bill is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo and is retired from a varied career in education with the Waterloo District School Board having been a teacher at both the elementary and secondary levels, a consultant and principal on the academic side and the Manager of Information Technology Services on the business side. Bill is currently the Returning Officer for the Provincial Electoral District of Kitchener-Conestoga. Bill is married to his life partner, Judy and they have one daughter with partner Jeanette.
