Bill Proctor – Rotary Club of Kitchener
– Biography –
 
Bill has been a member of the Rotary Club of Kitchener since 2000. He has been active on many committees and has served as chair of the Youth Exchange and Membership committees. He has been a member of the board of directors from 2008 to date and served as president of the club for the 2009-10 year. He is currently co-chair of the club’s Meeting and Memberships Support Committee, chair of the club’s 100th Anniversary Committee and is club secretary. Bill joined the District Training committee in 2011 and served as the Director of Training for the district for several years; he is also a graduate of and facilitator with the Rotary Leadership Institute. Bill served as the District Governor for District 7080 in 2016-17.
 
Bill is a member of the Paul Harris Society and is a multiple Paul Harris recipient.
 
Bill is retired from a very active and varied career in education having worked as a teacher at both the secondary and elementary levels, a mathematics consultant, an elementary principal and IT Services manager. In addition to working in Rotary, Bill is a volunteer with the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Waterloo-Wellington Groundwater Festival, and the Waterloo-Wellington Science & Engineering Fair for which he has been a member for over 40 years and a recipient of the Youth Science Canada Distinguished Service Award. He also assists his wife Judy with her work with the May Court Club of Kitchener-Waterloo, a very active women’s service club. Judy and Bill have one daughter, Nicole and daughter-in-law Jeanette.
