February 2017 - Applicants are now being sought for District 7010 Global Grant Scholar (2018-19)
 
Applications are now open for Global Grant Scholarship candidates from Rotary District 7010. The scholarship is worth up to $40,000 USD for a year of study outside of Canada. The goal of the selection process is to recruit highly qualified and deserving candidates. This exclusive scholarship will help fund a student, from the Rotary District 7010 area, to pursue graduate studies (at the Master's level) and service dreams that will have an impact in one or more of Rotary's areas of focus.
  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water and sanitation
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Economic and community development
All Global Grants must be sustainable and measurable.
 
Qualified candidates must submit a completed application for review and support by their local Rotary Club by Monday May 1, 2017. Approved candidates need to submit their final application via email to Colin Vickers at, colin.b.vickers@gmail.com, by Monday May 15, 2017. Qualified candidates will required to participate in an interview on June 3rd, 2017, in North Bay, Ontario. The successful candidate will then be eligible for a Global Grant Scholarship applicable at an international university starting Fall 2018 or January 2019 (southern continents.)

Note: The successful candidate will work with the District Scholarship chair to complete the documentation required to gain final approval of the Global Grant from the Rotary Foundation.
