Al Brothers (from the Anthony Wayne Club) and I are co-chairing this year's Rotary Foundation Dinner. The Foundation Dinner is the only fundraiser held for the Rotary Foundation and we want to make this year's dinner the best ever!
Your club members should have received an invitation in the mail and an online invite (sent August 16.) This year’s dinner is being held on Friday, October 6 in Fort Wayne and there are a number of incentives in place to promote attendance for both individuals and at the club level.
At the individual level half of the ticket price, or $60, will be contributed to The Rotary Foundation in the attendee’s name. Another 100 Foundation Points will be given for registering for the dinner by Sept 22. All attendees will have their name entered into a drawing for up to 1,000 points for the next level of Paul Harris Fellow and first time attendees will have their name entered twice.
At the Club level we will also be awarding monies towards district grants for those clubs with over 10%; a $1,000 grant for clubs with the highest percentage of attendance; and a $5,000 grant for the club donating the most funds to the Foundation between July 1 and October 6, 2017.
I would like to challenge you to have at least 10% of your members attend the dinner.* Only Rotarians count toward the 10%, not guests. The Dinner will be a wonderful night of Rotary fun and fellowship! I have attached the club incentives - the personal incentives are listed on the invitation and in the registration email.
