The Rotary Club of Waller County is pleased to announce to all Rotarians interested in pursuing an Executive MBA the chance to earn one at almost half the price of similar offerings from other institutions. Prairie View A&M University’s College of Business is expanding its graduate program offerings to include an Executive MBA (EMBA).  Classes will be held twice a month, on (alternate) Saturdays at the PVAMU Northwest Houston Center located near Tomball Parkway (Highway 249) and FM 1960 at 9449 Grant Road.  Students move through their courses as a cohort and focus on one course at a time.

The EMBA Program is ideal for experienced professionals, managers, administrators and entrepreneurs with backgrounds in engineering, liberal arts and business who are interested in advancing their careers or expanding their businesses.

AACSB International, the “gold standard” for business school accreditation, designates that all programs offered through the College of Business ensures that every program offered in the college “has passed a set of rigorous standards which evaluates faculty qualifications, curricula, missions/objectives and many other academic items necessary for creating a high-quality business degree program.”  Tuition for the PVAMU EMBA Program is priced nominally at $36,252 (approximately $3,000 per course). It covers program orientation, course-related fees, class materials, meals on class days and the excursion to China.  The average cost of similarly accredited programs in the greater Houston area exceeds $65,000.

Applications for the inaugural EMBA cohort, which begins in fall 2012, are being accepted now through August 1.  Additional information is available at  Interested individuals may also contact Dr. Daniel Perez, interim director of the EMBA Program at (936) 261-9223 or; or Dr. John Dyck, director of the PVAMU Graduate Programs in Business at (936) 261-9217 or
