Vince Lipovsky, Charter Member of Space Center Rotary Club, passed away at 6:40 am, Thursday, July 11, 2013.  His wife, daughter, son and grandchildren were by his side.  Vince had gone back and forth 5 times this year from hospital to rehab to his home at Regal Estates in League City.  He died of congestive heart failure and fluid on his lungs.  The family had a private memorial service to honor the memory of Vince.  Please remember Vince and family in your thoughts and prayers.

Space Center Rotary was chartered on August 6 1964, and Vince was one of the charter members.  In fact, Vince was the last surviving charter members.

Marilyn Musial had a nice, but sad, visit with Vince’s daughter and son-in-law.  It is important to his daughter, Sue, that his friends in Rotary know of his passing.  That is one of the things we loved the most about him.  He celebrated every day of his life.  His daughter was telling me that the people at Regal Estates loved listening to his stories so they flocked to him and, of course, he loved every minute.  He was in hospice for just two days and then passed.  All of his family had time to get to Houston and be by his bedside and say their goodbyes.

Apparently he loved apple pie so at his small memorial they all ate apple pie and told stories of Vince.  Eventually, Mrs. Lipovsky will move to San Marcos (assisted living) to be near her daughter.
