The Sealy Rotarians began a flag project last year.  Tim McCarty seized the opportunity to show Rotarian patriotism and began a fundraiser by asking his club to sell Flag Sponsorships to their neighbors.  Rotarians in Sealy offered to put up and take down flags during the seven major flag holidays for $30 a year.  This year Tim expanded the fundraiser to include area businesses, paying $50 for the subscription.

The flags along with the sponsors names were displayed in Levine Park on Main Street in Sealy.  Almost immediately businesses took advantage of the event, but none of the Rotarians or Sealy residents would fully realize what seeing all those flags flying around the park would mean for us as citizens.

All of us who saw the flags flying on September 11th had trouble holding back the tears.
