Please join your fellow District 5890 Rotarians and The Friends of North Rosenberg in helping with the huge task of flood-debris cleanup in hard-hit Rosenberg on Saturday, June 25, from 8:30 - 2:00 p.m.  Rotary volunteers should check in for specific assignments at either (1) 503 3rd St, Rosenberg, TX 77471 (Friends of North Rosenberg location), or (2) B.F. Terry High School, 5500 Avenue N, Rosenberg, TX 77471 (Red Cross Headquarters).  Be sure to tell them you are with Rotary, and you are certainly welcome to stay longer than 2pm if you like. Please dress in long pants and boots (or sturdy old shoes), and it may be a good idea review in advance the below debris-sorting chart (click to enlarge - © 2016 KHOU). According to KHOU, an estimated 70 Rosenberg homes have been damaged by Brazos River flooding, with general debris-pickup expected to begin June 13. Please contact Hugh Conway, President Rosenberg Rotary Club, Cell 940-367-3618, hconway@cognitionandlearning.com, to let him know if you are participating, or REGISTER on EventBrite.

If you (individually) or your Rotary Club, want to begin helping sooner than June 25, you also are able to do that  - HERE'S HOW:  INDIVIDUALS may simply show up between 7 AM and 7 PM at B.F. Terry High School, 5500 Ave N, Rosenberg, TX  77471, identify themselves as being with Rotary, and get a job-assignment (at your choice, anywhere from 30 minutes to the rest of day). GROUPS/CLUBS should call 757-374-0944 in advance, arrive at Terry H.S. between 8 and 8:30 AM for Safety Training wearing proper dress, and then be assigned to a work team. Volunteers will be given a T-shirt that is required to be worn to easily identify volunteers. If you have questions about any of the volunteering details, please contact Hugh Conway, President Rosenberg Rotary Club, Cell 940-367-3618, hconway@cognitionandlearning.com.
