I am sure all of our Rotary Clubs will be honoring our Veterans this week.  I wanted you to be aware of several clubs who have sent their Veteran programs to me for distribution.  I have decided to bundle them into a single story with links to each event.   Click on this story heading to see the various events.
 

Houston Club "Salute to Veterans" (Nov 10) - Please RSVP today and join us for the Annual West Point Society/Rotary "Salute to Veterans" luncheon as well as an opportunity to sponsor an active duty Soldier, Sailor, Airmen, Marine or Coastguardsman on Thursday, November  10, 2010 starting sharply at*11:45 a.m. featuring a timely talk from  Major General  John Nichols, the new Adjutant General of the Texas Military Forces.  

SW 59 "Salute to Our Veterans & 1st Responders" (Nov 10-11) - We want to bring to your attention two very special commemoration events for Veterans and 1st Responders that will be taking place in November…a Tribute/celebration on November 10th and a fundraising Gala on November 11th.  The purpose of these two events is to honor the men and women of Fort Bend County who risk their lives daily to protect the safety and defend the freedom of their fellow citizens.  Two service-oriented organizations have partnered to host and present these events: Operation American Heroes Foundation & Southwest 59 Sunrise Rotary

Katy Club "Dedicaton of Katy's Freedom Pavillion" (Nov 11) - The Groundbreaking of the Katy Freedom Pavilion at Fort Bend Freedom Park will be held Friday, November 11 at 10:45 AM. There will be a special moment of silence at 11:11AM the 93rd anniversary of the Armistice ending World War I.

Oyster Creek "Veterans Day Luncheon" (Nov 11) - Oyster Creek Rotary's 32nd annual Veteran's Day lunch will be held November 11, at Noon, at Quail Valley Golf Club at 2880 La Quinta, Missouri City,TX 77459.  All Veterans are invited to attend, and will be honored in our ceremony.   Our guest speaker will be Lt. Col. Trevor Nehls, who has just returned from his forward base in Afghanistan.

Please take time from your busy schedule this week to Honor our Veterans, shake their hand, look them in the eye and give each your sincere appreciation for their service to our country and protecting our freedom.
