On Sunday, September 11th from 6 PM - 6:30 PM in Kingwood's Town Center Park, Kingwood Rotary invites everyone to attend this free, 30 minute event to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the September 11th tragedy.

The purpose of this event is to pay tribute to the victims, their families, and the many who rose in response. We also want to remember and rekindle the spirit of service and compassion that brought our entire nation together as one people in the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy.

Our guest speaker will be Gary Blackman, Chaplain of the Houston Fire Department.

Mark Linabury with K-Dub Entertainment will provide patriotic music, and the T.S.A. Honor Guard from George Bush Intercontinental Airport will also attend.

In honor, and memory of all 9/11 victims and heroes, there will be a special release of peace doves.

In 2009, the U.S. Congress passd bipartisan legislation which formally recognized September 11th as a National Day of Service an Remembrance. Thanks to the tireless efforts by the 9/11 families and community, the day reclaims the legacy o September 11th and creates a permanent, positive tribute to all those lost, and those who rose in service.

This is a family event, so please bring your lawnchairs or blankets for seating.
