District 5890 Rotarians, Irene Hickey with the Rotary Club of University Area Houston and Assistant Governor Lindsey Kroll with Rotary Club of Memorial-Spring Branch, were recent guest speakers at the Rotary Club Villa Carlos Paz (Argentina) about the Rotary Fire Fighters Home Project here in D5890.
At the Rotary club meeting they shared information about this project which provides short-term housing at little or no cost to firefighters and
other first-responders from around the world while they are undergoing treatment at The Texas Medical Center (TMC). Members of the Carlos Paz Fire Department also attended the Rotary club meeting, so Irene and Lindsey were able to share with them the details about the project. Irene and Lindsey also spent time with a former District 5890 Memorial-Spring Branch Rotarian, Miguel Ottaviano and Mireya Ottaviano Díaz. One of the great blessings in Rotary is making life-long friends and staying connected to them when they relocate.
