Brazosport Rotary has been extremely busy since August.  We had our annual shrimp boil and raised approximately $225, 000.  Now we are trying to find he best ways to spend it.  In September we sponsored a Habitat for Humanity house.  We got there on a Thursday morning to a slab and ten days later it was a wonderful 4 bedroom handicapped accessible home.   Most of the Rotarians took part in hammering nails, putting up siding, measuring, etc.  Such an awesome experience.  Last Sunday was the dedication of the house.

Tuesday we will have our Veteran's Day Celebration.  We have invited many veterans from our community plus a group of women who have knitted and crocheted "Blankets of gratitude" to give the veterans.  We are expecting a large crowd at our new meeting place, The Civic Center of Lake Jackson.  We have been meeting there for one month now.

We have pledged $10,000 to the Help a Hero" campaign for Brad Thomas's house in Jones Creek.

Our small donations committee has been busy giving money to keep community events going.
