Rotary District 5770 participated in the 28th Lone Star Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) at the DFW Airport in Dallas.  Presidents-elect were trained in every aspect of Rotary to help them be better equipped to handle responsibilities as club president.  In addition to the formal training, participants had the opportunity to visit vendors selling Rotary products, heard motivational speakers, and had the opportunity to meet and hear Rotary international (RI) leaders.  Featured speakers were our own District5770 RI President Ron Burton and RI President-elect Gary Huang from Taiwan.

In prior years district 5770 participated as an invited guest.  2014 is the first year that the district is a sanctioned member of the organization.  Lone Star PETS serves nine Texas districts and district 5770 from Oklahoma.  Currently there is a total of 576 Rotary clubs encouraged to participate at this event.  District 5770 has 34 clubs with 24 in attendance this year.  District presidents-elect met with governor-elect Bob Dill on Friday and then on Saturday in small groups based on club size with clubs from the other districts.  Some members of the district 5770 Leadership Team served as volunteer presenters and discussion leaders.
