Australia Bushfires Appeal

We have all seen the disastrous fires that have erupted, taking lives as well as destroying hundreds of homes and properties across Australia.
Rotary is once again taking the lead and looking to provide support for families in need. To this end several Rotary Districts and Clubs have established projects which are ready and able to accept donations from you. All of those projects can apply for funds from this appeal.

Over $370,000 and counting has been raised so far. If you’d like to contribute, please do so at: https://rawcs.org.au/\

Taal Volcano Eruption

As District Governor, I had the opportunity to meet Everett Olivan, District Governor D3820 in the Philippines at the International Assembly last January, and he’s reached out to all of our fellow DGs with a call for help for financial and in-kind donations listed below.

We also have a local connection to this district, Lawrence Rotarian Bran Allen, who sent me this note:

"I was a Group Study Exchange participant back in 2009. My GSE experience inspired me to join Rotary in 2012 when I moved back to Lawrence to work at the public library.

That exchange was between our district and District 3820. Rotarians took me the Taal volcano on that trip. All the clubs we visited were in Batangas and Quezon provinces. Cities in District 3820 are directly affected by this volcano eruption."

Thank you,
Jason Leib
