Rotary Club Begins Mask Distributions

The Olathe Rotary Club has purchased and distributed four thousand masks to area nursing homes, a community clinic, and first responders.

Club president Terry Lynch developed the effort with the Russell Hampton Company president Joe Beveridge. The first shipment of 4,000 surgical masks arrived on May 12.

"Due to the critical need of nursing homes for these masks, we delivered the face masks to Evergreen Living of Johnson County, Villa St. Francis, and Good Samaritan in Olathe," said Lynch. "We were also able to provide masks to the Health Partnership Clinic and the Olathe Fire Department." This first order was made possible by the generous donations of Olathe Rotarians.

The partnership with the Russell Hampton company has developed into an exciting potential to provide additional masks. "We are delighted to announce that we will donate a mask to the Olathe Rotary Club for every mask purchased from our company. The Olathe Rotary Club will then distribute additional masks where there is great need," said Joe Beveridge.

Beveridge said, "We have placed another order for 10,000 masks and expect delivery soon." Any business or civic organization can secure face masks while helping Rotary meet needs in the community. To order on the Russell-Hampton website, bit.ly/RHmask  (Use the Promo Code MASK3PLY)
