I want to take this opportunity to share what pleasure it has been to spend quality monthly moments with Governor Barr, Governor Nominee Meyer and Governor Nominee Designate Randall this past year. We are excited to work for District 5710 Rotarians and hope you enjoy the results of our efforts. Rotary truly opens opportunities.
This is the time of year for clubs to wind down one year and ramp up another. I want to emphasize the importance of planning for the upcoming year, setting goals and getting them in Club Central on Rotary.org.
I want to thank the clubs who have already scheduled their District Governor visits for the 2021-22 year and remind those that have not yet done so to contact me at vern.henricks@yahoo.com so we can get a date set.
The District 5710 Conference Planning Committee has been doing a great job in preparing for the 2021 District Conference that will be on October 22-23 at the Hilton Inn-Manhattan Conference Center in Manhattan, KS. There will also be a pre-conference golf outing on the 21st followed by a presentation and social in the evening by the Fort Riley Commanding General, Major General D. A. Sims. You will be receiving more information in the weeks ahead.
I want to also remind members that we will have a special moment for District Rotarians that have had a close association with Polio so please send me or Jim Arnett names and information.
