What is your club doing for the holidays?

At this time of year, Rotarians usually gather to celebrate the holiday season. This year, things will be different. There will no parties or holiday gatherings. But that doesn’t mean that the desire to make fellowship part of the Rotary experience has gone away. We would like to hear what clubs are doing so that members can share the spirit of the season with other Rotarians and family members. Submit a description of what your club is doing to celebrate the holidays “together while apart” to Include photos. We will combine what we receive to create a mosaic of fellowship across our District.

Realize there is no finish line

Even if your club is the optimum size, that’s no reason to stop recruiting. There are always reasons people leave.

Help Nourish Our Neighbours this Holiday Season

The Rotary Club of Whyte Avenue is raising funds through an online auction to support the Fresh Routes & The Neighbour Centre Mobile Grocery Store this holiday season.

The Mobile Grocery Store (MGS) is a community-driven grocery store on wheels that increases the availability of healthy, affordable and culturally appropriate foods in under-served neighbourhoods.

The MGS carries a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, bread and healthy non-perishables under market value, allowing all individuals to have access to healthy food.

Will YOU help nourish our neighbours this holiday season? Bid on our silent auction or make a general donation.

The December issue of Beyond Borders from Rotary International Director Valarie Wafer includes articles from Yvone Joubert (Rotaract MacEwan University) on her Rotary journey and from PDG Ingrid Neitsch (RC of Edmonton West) on Rotary’s Peace Fellowship program.
