Rotary District 5370 Update
September 6, 2020

CONNECTIONS represents a commitment by the District’s Board of Governors to reduce the number of emails sent to all Rotarians and Rotaractors. We support clubs by publishing information about your upcoming events and fundraising activities.

Please assist this effort by refraining from broadcasting emails to all Rotarians in the District. Instead, send announcements to communications@Rotary5370.org. We’ll include your information in a future issue of CONNECTIONS and will tweet (or retweet your tweets) about your event. All submissions are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Announcements will be repeated as space permits.

Members of the Rotary Club of Camrose will gather to participate in the Vision 2020 Virtual District Conference on Saturday, September 12 in this training facility of one of its members. The space is large enough to allow for proper physical distancing while watching the proceedings on wall-mounted TV screens. The new owner of a small deli will provide individually boxed lunches for the participating Rotarians.

Note: Even if you will be clustering with other Rotarians to participate in Vision 2020, please register for the conference so that the organizing committee will have an accurate count of the number of participants.

The deadline to register for the scotch-tasting seminar following the Vision 2020 Virtual District Conference is Monday, September 7. Due to provincial liquor regulations, this activity is only available to Alberta residents, aged 18+.

E-Satellite Club for Young Professionals

Are you in contact with former Youth Exchange students (inbound or outbound) or former Rotary Grant Scholars? They could become charter members of an e-satellite club that the Rotary E-Club of Canada One is in the process of establishing for young professionals.

As part of an e-club, members can live anywhere in the world and will only need to attend one meeting per month. Costs will be minimal and projects can be done anywhere.

Reach out to former Youth Exchange students and former Rotary Grant Scholars you know and invite them to contact PDG Elly Contreras (miselly2@icloud.com) to learn more.
