Orange HUB - District Office Update
We hope everyone is doing well, and are pleased  to provide an update in regards to parking at The Orange Hub.

As many know, in February we did receive approval from City Council to proceed with our new parkade construction. This is fantastic news.

On March 31st our parkade is scheduled to be closed, and will be under construction for an estimated 2 years. During construction, all north entrances to the building will be closed.

We are working to lease the vacant lot at 155th Street and Stony Plain Road (the old Dollarama lot) and will update everyone once this is confirmed. If successful, Impark will be asked to manage the lot. Due to a reduced number of spaces, we cannot guarantee all tenants will receive parking at this location.

We are also working to license parking at the Bedford Inn, and will provide details if successful.

If you have a parking pass, please keep it safe for now. Fees will not be charged after March 31st until such time as alternate parking is provided. Tenants will be required to communicate with Impark the number of passes they wish to keep active once alternative parking is confirmed. The City of Edmonton does not manage the parking passes.

We will be temporarily scheduling staff to rove the exterior of the facility to help direct people to the correct entrance, and to nearby parking.

During construction, facility access will be from the 155 Street entrance, where there will be an accessible ramp. Parking on the west side of 155 Street will also change to accommodate accessible parking, a fire lane, and 30 min drop off zones for DATs and other facility users.

As our new parking lot is constructed please consider alternative modes of transportation; ie transit, carpooling or biking. FYI- Our bike racks will be relocated to the east patio.

All members of our Rotary Satellite E-Club of Canada One Global Professionals ("SECCO") would like you to join our 1st Anniversary Online Event on Saturday, March 19th, 2022, at 12 pm Mountain Time.

SECCO is a Satellite E-Club formed by young professionals based in 5 different continents, who are mostly former Rotary exchange students. In this past year, we have accomplished major goals: as a club just founded, we supported a project very dear to our heart, Project Amigo in Mexico, and we got a District Grant to help us with that.

Also, we are already working on a new project to support: the Empowerment Program in Nigeria. And we need your help and donations to help them!

The Event will also have a friendly competition - a Quiz about fun facts from our countries. The winner gets a special prize: a 10-Months Book Subscription from our Club members. Each month you get sent a book from one of our home countries to your doorstep!

Invite your family and friends to join our Zoom meeting, celebrate with us and get a chance to win a literary trip around the world!

For registrations, please access the following link: https://portal.clubrunner.ca/8529/Event/secco-global-professionals-24
