Rotary International President Holger Knaack leads the list of keynote speakers who will speak at the District 5370 virtual Leadership Assembly on Saturday, April 17. With over 530 Districts in the Rotary world, 35,000 Rotary clubs and about 1.2 million Rotarians, it is very special and an honour to have our Rotary International president take time out of his busy schedule to meet with us. Holger will be joined on the virtual main stage by Rotarian and professional speaker Michael Angela Caruso and University of Manitoba professor Niigaan Sinclair.
Caruso is an internationally recognized expert on leadership, sales and improving customer service. He teaches leaders and salespeople how to be better presenters. He is also a past District Governor and the public image coordinator for Zone 28, who helps Rotarians to grow and lead their clubs.

Sinclair is Anishinaabe (St. Peter’s/Little Peguis), an associate professor at the University of Manitoba, and an award-winning writer, editor and activist. As a young student, his life was significantly and profoundly changed through his participation in Rotary youth programs. What he learned at that time changed how he looked at life and how he wanted to pursue his life.

In addition to hearing great keynoters, attendees will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions focusing on specific club leadership roles, including sessions for presidents-elect, treasurers, secretaries, as well as Foundation, membership, international service and public image chairs. There will be other breakouts on topics such as Community Service; Technology; ClubRunner; the RI Learning Centre; Fundraising; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and Peacebuilding.
