DESCRIPTION:The Youth Exchange Team invites you to attend a district-wide m
eeting on youth exchange. The meeting is open to any Rotarian who has an i
nterest in youth exchange\, regardless of whether or not your club is curr
ently participating and regardless of your role in Rotary. We are askin
g for your input and ideas on the following topics as this will guide deci
sions made by the team in the hopes of growing youth exchange in D5370:
1. What prevents your club from participating in youth exchange? 2. Wh
at keeps your club involved in youth exchange? 3. How should youth exch
ange expenses be paid? a. Current model is an upfront fee\, of which 50% c
an be charged to the family at the club's discretion\; fee covers majority
of expenses including flights\, visa and insurance b. Alternative model i
s a smaller upfront fee and the flights\, visa and insurance costs would b
e borne entirely by the family c. Other funding ideas? d. Should clubs pay
for the inbound students' trips? (Note that none of our partner districts
pay for inbound student trips - it is entirely the responsibility of the
students and families) e. Should there be district-wide consistency on wha
