The Rotary Foundation & The Group Study Exchange

The following is an email from a GSE team member currently in Central America to Chuck Hanchett, GSE Chair for D-5280 for the last few years. The idea of sending young professional adults on foreign exchanges is to open the eyes, ears and hearts of people in both countries of the exchange - to make the world a better place for all human beings. The content of this email is precisely what we want to see happen.

"Dear Chuck,

In contemplating the two amazing weeks thus far, I must thank you for encouraging me to pursue the GSE opportunity.

It has been an extraordinary experience that has resonated with my personal interests in international relations and social change. What an amazing experience to witness first-hand the great work Rotary is accomplishing throughout the world and to be inspired by such hospitable and altrusitic Rotarians. As these last two weeks have already changed my life, I can only hold my breath for the remaining two weeks.
