Hermosa Beach Rotarian Angela Peterson Passes Away
It is with sadness that we announce that longtime Hermosa Beach Rotarian Angela Peterson has passed away. Rotarians are invited to her services. The services will take place Friday, July 18 at 2:30pm at First United Methodist Church in Redondo Beach. The address is 243 S. Broadway (at Torrance Blvd). Although many of you already have heard, it is with great heartache that I announce that Angela passed away early Sunday morning. She was in peace and surrounded by Rachael, Cory, her sister Nancy and me. In the last days she was comforted by and joyful to be at home and see many of her wider family, especially our granddaughters Natalie and Vivian as well as our puppy, Gracie.
Angela's 18 month battle with uterine cancer was valiant and remarkable as she always was upbeat, positive and put others before herself. Unfortunately her body was unable to maintain the fight any longer. Throughout, her family and her many friends from Rotary, from AA, and quite a number of former students gave her strength and joy as she fought this nasty disease. Thanks to all who helped her along this difficult path.
Our family is most grateful for the many of you who have offered your comfort and support during this most difficult time.
