Referring Rotary Club | Lawndale |
Comments | Although there are a number of shelters for men, there are few locations for women in the South Bay area. |
The Beacon Light Mission, which has serviced homeless men for years in San Pedro, wanted a facility
to help homeless women. The struggles to get permits, and the vision that the Mission has to help
needy women, is very inspiring. The club members were very impressed with the speakers from this
organization, and the large need there is for helping homeless women in Los Angeles.
