Power of Partnerships

While there are 1.2 Million Rotarians and 34,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide, Rotarians are strongly involved in partnerships with other clubs, groups and individuals to get the job done.

If we're involved in building a well in Africa, we don't just march in and build it.  We partner with local Rotary clubs in the area and know the problems and issues, we partner with the affected community to ensure the project is supported and sustainable and often we'll work with other non profit groups.

Our best example is in our battle against Polio.   Rotary started the effort to eliminate Polio in the Philippines in 1985.  The huge success of the project inspired other groups such as Unicef, Centers for Disease Control, The World Health Organization, Bill and Melinda Gates fund and many of the governments around the world to parnter with Rotary.  Yes, we started the final push for Polio Eradication, but we couldn't do it alone.
