How-to-guide for sustainable environmental projects. (COMING SOON)
Let’s celebrate Earth day, Rotarian style.

For the last several years Rotarians have submitted proposed bylaw changes to the Rotary International Council on Legislation to strengthen Rotary’s commitment to protecting the environment in recognition that healthy landscapes are a factor in maintaining healthy communities. To that end, District 5060 has created the Environmental Sustainability Committee to help District 5060 Rotarians, Rotary Clubs, Rotaractors and Interactors succeed in their efforts to conduct projects that emphasize healthy soil, water, air, and plant & animal species. Our motto is “Rethink the Seven R’s” (Refuse, Reduce, Replenish, Reuse, Repair, Recycle, and Recover). In the coming months we will have much to say that will help you and your club “Rethink” what Rotary can do to create healthy landscapes and healthy communities. Please help us spread the word that your district is fully engaged in protecting the environment using strengths unique to Rotary and Rotarians. As this is a new mission and committee of District 5060, please check back frequently for updates and opportunities for you and your club to engage with us. Our purpose is to be an effective resource for your environmental projects and to be a vehicle for spreading the word of your environmental project success stories!
