This year Rotary Clubs of Mission and Mission Mid Day had a joint installation dinner to welcome its newest Interact Club and usher in their incoming executives. This past year was particularly special as both Clubs were jointly recognized with a “2022 Lifetime Achievement Award” by the City of Mission.

The installation was held at the Mission City Conference Center on 23 June 2022 to welcome the newest Club to Mission, the Interact Club of Mission. Mission Rotarians and their families were joined by Rotary District 5050 Governor Bev Harrington, Area Governor Ken Holland, Rotary Club of Abbotsford-Sumas President Aman Gill, and Rotary Club of Haney incoming president Rajinder Chhina and Past President Jesse Sidhu.

The Interact Club was chartered on 15 December 2020 and has completed six projects:
  • Anti-Bullying Awareness Project

  • Art Auction Fundraiser with proceeds to Mission Community Garden for families

  • Back to School Supplies Project - provided 100 backpacks with school supplies throughout Mission and surrounding environments.

  • Zoom Music Bingo with Proceeds going to Guatemala Literacy Bus

  • Santa Paws Pet Photos with Santa $800 proceeds going to Haiti Children’s Home Milk Program

  • Mental Health Awareness Fundraiser with proceeds going to Mission Youth House.

The Club’s charter was followed by the Installation of the Rotary Clubs of Mission and Mission Mid-Day incoming Presidents and Executive Team members.
