Our greeter was the congenial Connie Kennedy.   Jackie, our president, led  us in the pledge. Brian DeHart gave a rotarian  invocation.
Brian Lewis was an interesting  guest who is a 30 year rotarian from England.  He brought us his chapter flag from  the New Castle Club and we in turn supplied him with our chapter flag.  I believe Erica Kincaid will post some pictures on our newly revived facebook page.  Thank you Erica.
Announcements: Jackie indicated we may have secured a new pianist.  She is Mardel Sinclair (spelling?) District 7300 has an on line e-club for rotarians  for who find it difficult to attend meetings but still want to participate.
Bob Lewis had the program for a presentation by our district governor, Linda Fischer Bruce.  She was introduced by Michael Knecht, an assistant district governor, from Ambridge.  He provided Linda‚Äôs impressive background before becoming district governor.  She is a 20 year rotarian with a business background which resulted in her forming her own management consulting firm.  An experienced public speaker she gave  us a concise overview of Rotary International  including a biography of John Germ our current Rotary International president and his personal connection to polio. She discussed the four objectives of rotary and the 6 areas of focus.  She gave us updated progress information on the 6 areas of focus.  They are promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education and lastly growing local economies.
Rob Tracey collected fines most of which were directed in support of our district governor.  Jackie won the 50/50 drawing the queen of hearts
