EVENTS
 
June 12th is Luna Vista's 12th Anniversary Party!  Please RSVP to Lynette as to how many will be in your party.  Bring an appetizer to share and join us for food, fun and fellowship!  The fun committee also has some games and prizes for the party goers.  
 
June 19th Join us at the Fairfield Inn for Tom's Demotion Party!  Ribs will be provided, please bring a side dish to share will fellow Lunatics.  The Luna Vista Prime Time players will be there for your viewing entertainment and to honor Tom's presidential year!!!
 
PROJECTS
 
Tree Planting at Pioneer High School on Saturday June 16th.  Don Lambert will be there at
0-dark-30 to start digging holes.  We need Wheel-barrows, shovels, rakes, gloves, five gallon water buckets and a few hoses.  We have 35 trees to plant hopefully by noon.  Don't forget your hats and sun screen.  We will begin at 8:30.

Please email your volunteer hours for the year to Ute by this Tuesday.  President Tom would like to get the report out this coming week.
 
PROGRAM
 
Jim Parks the Director of Customer Care and Marketing for Valley Clean Energy in Yolo County was our guest speaker for the evening.  Jim said he'd only been at the job for a month but you couldn't tell by his presentation.  This is a not for profit company providing 42% renewable energy to Yolo County. You have the option to chose 100% renewable energy for a higher price.  You also have the option to opt out and stay with PG&E, if you so desire.  Service will begin June 1,2018. The opt out fees will be waved for the first year.   The Benefits to this program are:  Competitive Rates, Local Control, Sustainability and Customer Choice.  You can get more info at ValleyCleanEnergy.org.
