Our very own posse of Lunatics just back from Project Amigo share their stories and experiences

President Vinnie welcomed a good crowd of members and visitors for a fun night before we take a couple of weeks off for the holidays.  Definitely the visitor from the farthest place was Yarda, a friend of Bert's from the Czech Republic who joined us along with Bert's wife Marise. Perennial crowd pleaser Sean Colon also joined us as well as international man of mystery Dexter Quiggle's wonderful wife Eddi.  Cass also introduced Petwa as a visitor but I heard rumors that she may have become a member so hopefully that is true!  We had another HD session that went through all the emotions - Deputy Doug rang the bell with a Foundation donation - we celebrated Lonny V being honored as a "Future 7" leader under 40 in Woodland - and he and Maribeth will be moving into a new house soon!  We also celebrated Lynette and her wonderful cakes she has been bringing to the meetings - including the Long Island Ice Tea cake for this meeting - wow!  Clint Parish was happy for his 22nd wedding anniversary, very sad for his father-in-law passing away - and stunned us all by announcing that he was moving down south to take a new job (leaving right after the meeting).  Needless to say this was sad news for all of us - Clint has been a great asset to our club (along with also bringing some great cakes) and we will miss him!  Good luck Clint and we hope to can find another Rotary Club to continue in helping the community.  Our program was about the recent visit and dental project down at Project Amigo.  Dr. Dexter walked us through how much has changed in the last 3-4 years since he first visited to do dental work.  He also talked how the management of Project Amigo will be transitioning later this year which afforded him a couple of new dental assistants in 2 of the daughters who will be living and helping at the compound.  Dexter was also assisted by his wife Eddi and Craig Reynolds as they worked everyday for 3 weeks to help not only the kids at the school but also out in several outposts in the community.  Craig & Cass also gave some updates on the success stories from Project Amigo and passed around bios on several students that need sponsoring for their schooling.  Thanks to Dexter and crew for a great program!

hmmm...this wine is tasty!
