Project Amigo Update

Guests:  Mr. Villalobos & son Grayson, Margaret Lambert and Hanna, and grandkids Erin (Bert) & Emmitt & Ruthie (Ruth & Matt)

 

 

Joe & Paul gave quick reports on the Bench project at the Fairgrounds and the Smoke Alarm Installations with the Red Cross – Lunas are busy!

 

Paul also promoted the Food Bank event for all the Yolo County Rotary Clubs on Saturday.

 

Dexter reminded everyone of the big raffle drawings during the concert on Sunday.

 

President Ruth announced the Board meeting next Thursday (3/24) at 5:00 PM – all are welcome.

 

And don’t forget the District Conference (at Yolo Fairgrounds) in 2 weeks – lots of fun the whole weekend!

 

 

President Ruth welcomed 2 new members to our club – Sandy & Dan Brown!  Dan has been a Rotarian and is transferring from the Monterey club – Sandy worked over 42 years for Yolo County!  Welcome Sandy & Dan!!

 

 

Victoria & Cass presented their trip down to Project Amigo (along with Craig & President Ruth).

They went over much of the history of the region and Project Amigo itself.  Also how there is a Volcano right next door (which calls for a watchful eye at all times).

The best part were the stories of how the kids have flourished and gone on to greater triumphs.  We will be posting some photographs from the trip on the LV website.  Thanks for a great presentation!!
