Presedent Brian explains his vision for Rotary Year 19/20.  No there will not be a test!
 
President called the meeting to order at 6:30pm.
 
Prospective member Rhiannon is attending her 2nd meeting!  Please welcome her and introduce yourself at her next meeting.
 
Lynette presented Brian with his president's pin.
 
Denny will be the club administrative Secretary, meeting Notes taken by Leti, and Board minutes taken by LV Board member.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
July 13th  Awards Dinner- Check-in starts at 4:30. Lynette would like members to attend for a Luna Vista table. 
 
District Governor e-mailed president of every club asking for the release of $50,000.00 to pay for polio so that Bill Gates could match.
 
Brew fest meeting  July 16th at 5:00pm at Morgan’s on Main. Please do not use Dave's name when fundraising for Brew Fest he is not allowed to assist because of his position as Judge. 
 
New year, please pay your dues, $160.00 for the year.
 
Project Amigo, Cass will provide info to new members when she returns and host Tequila 101.
 
Sunday, August 18th Fair booth- have 11 spots to fill for serving beer or selling tickets.
A unique opportunity to get together with a lot of other clubs.
 
Exchange students arrives August 1st, 8:30 PM American airlines flight 1440, student, Love will be attending WHS.  If you can please go out and welcome him to Woodland.
 
August is membership month.
 
PROGRAM
 
First Formal meeting of July- recognition of birthdays and anniversaries.
 
Birthdays:  Ruth ,Don, Tom, Raylene, Joe.
 
Wedding Anniversaries:   Vinnie, Dave R., Rogelio and Leti, Burt, Raylene.
 
Member recognition- Paul, Don, Joe, Ute, Charlene, Cass, Dexter, Ruth, Tom and Lynette all past presidents. Brian is the 14th president of this club, all past presidents are still active members of Luna Vista!
 
Our club President’s vision: “Let’s connect with the community and the world”
 
Brian referenced the  article in the Rotarian.  Rotary Connects the World is the theme for Year 19/20. Brian would like to expand on the "connections" in the coming year.  Emphasis on Membership, Branding and Foundation. 
 
Connect Rotary to the world and connect our club to other clubs.
Spring mixer with  fellowship money?
 
Young people- where his passion lies.
Would like to have a meeting at PHS, and would like to have Interact attend with their parents.
Speakers could be PHS and CCHS Principals.
 
What Community projects would we like to take on?
Do we want to take some steps against trafficking?
Beautify a school?
