I can't hear you!
As always a hardy group was on hand to salute the flag and warble our song on another fine Thursday night. After introductions, Sheriff Vinnie got the dollars flowing. Michelle will be "arrested" next week as a fund raiser. Bert was happy for his new grandson (more about that next week). Lot's of folks were happy for graduations taking place. Carolyn was happy about the turn out for the Alternative Energy event at the Heidrick. We did have a sad dollar as our whole club is keeping Tom R. in our thoughts on the loss of his step-dad. We found out that Craig was a champion wrestler, although he refused to clarify whether it was male or female wrestling. Doug and his family will be hosting 2 college students from China this summer. Hopefully they can come visit our club. Joe was happy for the new cow his son bought even if it was 1 teat short. And we were sad to be missing some folks who are cruising down the Danube this week â€" that should be a program in the near future. Our program was presented by Betty Vosters-Kemp who did an excellent presentation on Hearing and the new technologies available today. Her main message is early detection really helps, so even if you don't think you have hearing loss, get an exam to get a baseline so that can be compared as the years go on.
