Multi Cultural Day in Guinda, on February 9 is an annual event started by Clarence Van Hook, and is now taken over by Luna Vista under the leadership of David Reed.
This day started in reference to Black families coming to the Capay Valley. It is now celebrated with the Hispanic introduction to the Valley as well. A BBQ staffed by Luna Vistans, and a history display in the Grange Hall in Guinda add to the festivities. Several groups will perform, reflecting their heritage. It is a beautiful day, with possible almond blossoms already opening. Celebrate it with your Valentineheart
