Luna Vista Hears About Yolo County and AB109
A great meeting with old friends (Mark Shirley), Foundation Pool, and a program from the Yolo County Probation Department.
President Charlene got us going and we welcomed old friend (and member) Mark Shirley along with favorite Sean Colon. John Martin from the Sunrise club also joined us to talk about the Interact event for Polio Plus (with an Iron Lung) at the High School. We also heard about Dingle School partnering with Project Amigo; more to follow. Our program was presented by Marlon Yarber who is the Yolo County Assistant Probation Officer. He discussed the effect of AB109 on Yolo County, how the Post Release County Supervision process works, Long Term strategies, and what the funding options could be after 2 years.
