Luna Vista Gets An Update on Yolo Crisis Nursery

President Vinnie welcomed the usual crowd of Lunatics as Vinnie is starting to smile a lot and mumble about 5 more weeks.  We welcomed our Illinois friend Tom Bridge and heard great news that the Food Bank was recognized as Yocha-Dehe partner of the year.  Cass gave a touching recap of the Yolo County Memorial Service with the Crawdads & Clarence VH.  Our Happy Dollars were earmarked for the Yolo Crisis Nursery and we nailed it with $150 for this night!!  HD included Lonnie playing a violin, grandkids, selling limos, and weddings along with celebrating our visitors and our program.  We also celebrated a couple more Paul Harris Fellow pin recipients - Susan got her first & Bert got his 3rd! Congratulations!!  Terrell Thomas gave our program on the Yolo Crisis Nursery which was started in 2001 and they help 90% local families.  Their group helps over 400 kids a year transition through their situation.  On a side note, the Woodland Community Harvest has contributed many pounds of fresh fruit to help them.
