Betsy Munroe presented a brief history of the Capay Valley though the eyes of her pioneering family. She is a fifth generation citizen of the Capay Valley. Her family boasts being the Sheriff in " these parts" from 1911 to 1971. She has published a book on the Capay Valley which tells stories of the fist settlers and family members including the Munroes, Campbells, Duncans, and Stevens.
