Enrique Fernandez – Woodland City Council district 4 member presented a City Update to Luna Vista.  Enrique thanked Luna Vista for its commitment to service in the community.
First Quarter Council Actions; water rate increase for the next five years, formation of ground water sustainability agency to comply with the sustainable groundwater act, new home for the boxing club, new fire chief Ms. Rebecca Ramirez, review of budget revenues, expenditures and deficits, and status of measure J.  Second Quarter Council Actions; new chief of police Mr. Luis Soler, 2035 general plan update, discussions for Community Choice Energy participation and Woodland Tree Foundation Cal Fire grant. Personal Projects of Enrique; forming civic neighborhood groups to address concerns, Workforce development joint projects with WJUSD, WCC and the city, in particular, robotics and high school internships, Infill development in the city, emphasis on development of affordable housing and design for those groups in need of smaller housing.
