Tina Akins- District Governor, District 5160
Tina enjoys going around to the district's clubs.   She has observed that when people join together to do something a lot of things happen because their energy spurs everyone to do more.  Her advise to us was to find a problem and figure out what part you can have in it to fix it and do it.  Imagine if all Rotarians did the same, the change that would happen is un-measurable.
Rotarians have helped to immunize 2.5 billion children against polio since 2005!!!
Every donation to the polio foundation is matched.  As of today, $50,000 from the District's Rotary Foundation was transferred to the polio plus fund, matched and multiplied.  It is now a $300,000 donation!

One of Tina's goal is to increase the Paul Harris donations to 50 a year from this district.

Two service awards were given tonight, one to Denny Patrick and the other to Nick Pohl from Brian through Tina for service to this club.

Tina encouraged all to attend the District Conference, "Passport to Adventure" is May 1-3, 2020 at the sun dial bridge Sheraton Hotel in Redding  at the Civic Center.

She explained this years Rotary logo.
It is different people running to embrace the world, each person has rotary blue and another color that represents their different strengths and passion.  To see the Rotary Connects the World logo in motion:  click here
