Following president Daphne Silchuk-Ashcraft's welcome and introductions Rotarians casually enjoyed lunch while gathering indoors once again at Orrville Public Library's community room.  Amberly Wolf, Orrville Rotary's 2019-2020 Rotarian of the Year, then spoke to members concerning the club's past uncertain times due due to COVID-19 and not having had a permanent meeting site yet having become resourceful, made adjustments and remained stable and engaged.  Through it all, Wolf remarked, that thanks to his committed leadership as president throughout the past Rotary year, Dave McPeek was honored as the club's 2020-2021 Rotarian of the Year. Surprised and humbled, in accepting the recognition, McPeek jokingly admitted that "this wasn't the year I signed up for" but acknowledged that he had "great help" from the club's board of directors and membership.   McPeek also noted that his presidential goal was "to keep us afloat" financially along with his priority being the health and safety of club members.  Another highlight of the noon meeting was the induction by President Daphne of warmly received new member, Dawn Cazzolli.  Dr. Heather Howley was a guest at the meeting.
