I know that this year has just started, but we are accomplishing so much in such a short time. I, for one, am very proud to be part of such an amazing club.
Kevin has been a Rotarian for more than 30 years, since 1994, and is a past member of the Akron and Warren Rotary Clubs. He has been a member of the Howland Twp club since 2019 and has served as a director on the boards of all three clubs.
McGee's Rotary resume includes being founding member of the Warren Rotary Riverwalk Auction Committee; volunteer at the Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs in Portage Lakes including current marketing committee member for the annual Rotary Regatta fundraiser https://rotarycampregatta.com/ since 2018 and past marketing chair of the Wayne Homes Chili Open Committee; school construction project in Ghana, West Africa https://www.modernghana.com/news/27498/rotary-students-pack-a-human-touch.html. McGee's first Rotary service project was in 1989, when as Eagle Scout candidate, he coordinated a organ donorship awareness program by working with then District Governor and Howland Rotarian Dr. James Lapolla, Sr. The eagle project provided organ donor Ron Gradishar as a speaker for club programs to many Trumbull and Mahoning County Rotary Clubs.
McGee's financial commitment to Rotary International includes gifts as a double Paul Harris Fellow as well as being a Rotary Foundation Benefactor.
Notable among McGee's past Rotary projects was coordinating Operation Deployed for Good. In 2013, Capt. McGee, deployed with the Springfield, Ohio-based 371 st Sustainment
Brigade of the Ohio Army National Guard to the Persian Gulf in support of contingency operations for Operation Enduring Freedom. McGee is a graduate of Ohio University (BS Ed 94) and Kent State University (MBA 2007) as well as Leadership Mahoning Valley (1995). Other community activities include volunteering with Troop 28 of the Howland Community Church, the troop from which he and two sons became Eagle Scouts, American Legion member and Scouting Coordinator for Post 614 Hilliard, Ohio, and lifetime member of both Veterans of Foreign Wars CPT Nicholas J. Rozanski Memorial Post 4931 (Hilliard, Ohio) and Disabled American Veterans Trumbull County Chapter #11, Mahoning and Shenango Valleys Chapter of Military Officers Association of America.
Kevin and his wife Dara are both graduates of Howland High School. Both currently work at the Nationwide Insurance corporate offices in Columbus, Ohio, and they live in Sunbury, Ohio. Kevin and Dara have three sons, Kyle Ehrhardt of Dublin, Ohio and Liam and Aidan McGee of Vienna, Ohio.
