May 2026 Newsletter

Welcome back to the Howland Rotary Club Quarterly Newsletter!

It's been some time since our last issue, and we're excited to reconnect and bring this back as a consistent   way to keep everyone informed and engaged. Our goal is to provide a simple, reliable snapshot of what's   happening within the Club along with important dates, service opportunities, and highlights worth   celebrating.

As we move forward, you can expect regular updates, speaker information and ways to stay involved in   everything our Club is doing in the community. If you have updates, ideas, or items you would like to see   included, your input is ALWAYS welcome.

Thank you for your continued support of the Howland Rotary Club and all that you do to make a   difference.

Our Pancake Breakfast was a Success!!

Our First Annual Pancake Breakfast was a great step forward for the Club, and it would not have been possible without the support of our Members and their families. A sincere Thank You to everyone who helped plan, organize, and Volunteer their time to make the event happen.

We had a solid turnout and, most importantly, a strong presence in the community through Flyers, Social Media and Local Promotion. It was a great opportunity to share the Rotary story and increase awareness of our Club.

While this year's event was more about building momentum than generating funds, it provided valuable insight as we look ahead. With a few adjustments, we see strong potential for this to grow into a successful Annual Fundraiser.

Thank you again to everyone involved as well as to our community partners for their support.

Logan’s Landing Project Support

Our club recently supported the Logan’s Landing Project through a donation and also participated in their Bocce Tournament Fundraiser with a team of volunteers. It was a fun event and a great opportunity to spend time together outside of our regular meetings while supporting a meaningful local initiative.

The event was filled with plenty of laughter, a little friendly competition, and more than a few moments of “learning on the fly” when it came to bocce strategy. Our President Gary Lehman, as always, did not miss the opportunity to make new friends and connections along the way. Whether it was on the court or between games, he kept things lively and ensured our presence was felt.

A special shoutout to our newest member, Tori, who was already stepping up like a seasoned pro, teaching us the ropes and helping us clean up along the way. Meanwhile, Jenn kept the energy high on and off the court, cheering us on and making no questionable shot went unnoticed.

There were plenty of laughs, good company, and even a win or two along the way, including one by default...and one that didn't count. Most importantly, it was another chance for our club to show up and support community efforts in a hands-on way.
