Youth Awards 2019

 

Strength of character is the most valuable asset a person can have.  It is an essential element of personal success and satisfaction.  Character builds leaders and contributes to our society.  Individuals of character make our world a better place.

 

The Rotary Club of Orléans values youth. We believe that young people are the future of Orléans. That is why, on June 2 we honoured 29 outstanding Orléans youth, ages 14-18, who have demonstrated strength of character. These young people were nominated for this recognition by their schools, community groups, churches, friends, and neighbours. All the award recipients have shown themselves to be young people who have demonstrated character strengths such as commitment to excellence, compassion, courage, creativity, entrepreneurship, leadership, persistence, positive attitude, resilience, and social responsibility.
