The Rotary Club of Orléans

The Rotary Club of Orléans was chartered in 2008. We are one of nine chartered Rotary Clubs in the Ottawa region.

Our members consist of busy men and women who are contributing to their community every-day through their businesses or professional lives, in addition to Rotary.

Our club has been recognized locally, provincially and at international levels for its involvement and success with the Rotary Foundation, the Dominica project and local food drives among other things. We have been instrumental in the development of the future Miracle League, which will create a fully accessible, purpose-built baseball diamond at Notre Dames des Champs, right here in Orléans, for all special needs children and adults.

The Rotary Club of Orléans is not only committed to giving to both our local and global communities but also fosters fellowship for our members with fundraisers such as:
  • SOAR (Support Orléans Area Rotary) Beach Volleyball Tournament
  • Ice Fishing Tournament
  • Orléans Youth Awards
Some programs in which we have participated locally are:
  • Dictonaries4Life, a program that insures every grade 3 student has a dictionary.
  • Youth Exchange - a high school student from another country comes to stay with a club for one year, while an outbound student goes to another country.
  • Orléans Youth Awards - recognizing the accomplishments of youth leadership and excellence.
  • Food Drives & Christmas Hampers
Some international programs that we have supported are:
  • Polio Plus - this international project’s goal is to eradicate polio from the face of the earth. We are ever closer with the contributions made from Rotary around the world.
  • Supplied special needs people in Dominica with books, sewing machines as well as professional expertise and educational assistance from CHEO.
