Our meeting this week is sure to be an inspiration to all of us. Youth of today are our leaders of tomorrow. We will be hearing from some young people who are definitely leaders of tomorrow but are already having an incredible positive impact on our world today. We will be hearing from the co-presidents of our St. Pete's Interact Club. They will be sharing about their club's achievements this past year, their activities and projects. We will also hear from former interactor, Emily Tung. Emily is a third-year student at University of Toronto pursuing a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies. She grew up in Ottawa and was a founding member of the Interact Club at St Pete's. She was also involved in organizaing RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership) for our District. All of these experiences have led her to a passion for environmental justice and climate action. She will be speaking to us today about her plans to spend three months in Ghana as a HerStart Fellow with Youth Challenge International. Please note: This is a Wednesday evening meeting. We will have some social time from 7-7:30 pm and then begin the formal part of our meeting. We hope that all members can join us in welcoming and supporting these incredible young people! |

In anticipation of the new Rotary year starting July 1, the Club Changeover is a special event to mark the end of a Rotary year and the beginning of a new one. We will celebrate the achievements of the club over the past year, acknowledging the work of outgoing President Gayle and the Board of Directors, and officially inducting new club President Raj and new board members for the coming year. This is an annual celebration that signifies our commitment to the ongoing work of our club. This is a celebratory event, not to be missed. All members are encouraged to attend. Friends and family are also welcome! The changeover will take place in the home of Gayle and Nabil at 3 Centrepark Drive in Blackburn Hamlet. It is a potluck dinner.
