The Club Assembly is an opportunity for club members to discuss issues and ideas that are of import to the good functioning of the club. At this Assembly we will discuss how/when we will make up for our postponed Holiday Dinner. We will also have opportunity to discuss other club business and the club schedule going forward. PLEASE NOTE: As of right now (Sunday evening, Nov. 10) we do not have clearance to return to Portobello Manor. They have experienced an outbreak and so are limiting visitors in the home. It is tradition for our club to celebrate the holiday season with a potluck dinner. Since our fundraising event for Nov. 20 had to be cancelled, we will kick off the holiday season with our club Holiday Potluck Dinner on this date. All Club Members, family and friends are welcome to join us for an evening of fellowship and food. Bring whatever dish you would like to share. We kindly ask that, out of respect for a number of our members, you refrain from bringing anything containing pork products. We will gather at the home of Gayle and Nabil Oudeh, who will provide the drinks. The address is 3 Centrepark Drive in Blackburn Hamlet. The fun begins at 6 pm! Please make sure to let us know that you are coming so that we can prepare for the correct number of guests. We look forward to celebrating together! |

As has become a tradition in our club, we are invited to be a part of the Rotary Home Holiday Party. We will be a part of this festive evening by singing some carols with the group. Rotary Home staff will provide dinner that evening. There is no cost associated with this event. The Ottawa Rotary Home provides residential and respite programs for children with disabilities. Our club has supported the Rotary Home since it was founded in 1982. We continue to support the Home financially with an annual donation from our club. We also have a number of members who serve on the board of the Rotary Home. |
