Jun. 19, 2021 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Le francais suivra. We have now set the date and time for the cleanup and it is Saturday, June 19th, 2021 starting at 9:30 am and ending at 11:30 am. A small tent will be used to allocate areas and give out T Shirts and City Kits and it will be visible as you enter the main beach parking at Petrie Island. We will be practicing safe distancing and the beach and trails area is quite large so the only area of concern will be at the tent so make sure you line up with covid distances respected. The beach and trails seem to be quite clean and grass and plant growth makes cleanup a bit difficult to see. Al Tweddle of Friends of Petrie island and his team could use some help so if your area of the cleanup is complete his team members will have raking and other jobs for you or yu can just enjoy the Island. Following the cleanup at 11:30 sharp we will visit the three seacans that are the storage and operational base for Petrie Island Canoe Club where we will listen to a few remarks and hope Commodore Sarah Kennedy can speak about PICC and their plans for the future. Please let these members know if you are able to join us: Rotary Club of Orléans, Community Services Director, Lyse-Pascale Inamuco: inalyse@gmail.com and Rotary Club of Orléans Member, Petrie Island Clean-Up Chair, Phil McNeely:phil.mcneely19@gmail.com . We would also be pleased to speak to you about our Rotary Club of Orléans. Phil McNeely
