We look forward to seeing all of you at our Strategic Planning Session! We have a dynamic and interesting day planned. We will have an opportunity to assess where we are, where we want to be and what steps we need to take to get there. The session will be via zoom but we promise to make it interesting. We have engaged two experienced facilitators (Sylvie Doire & Norm Desjardins from Community Mediation Ottawa (CMO)). That way we can all participate fully. Come and have your say. This is how our day will unfold: 8:30 Bring your coffee and your breakfast if you want. We will start together with fellowship and coffee. 9:00 Session starts with welcome followed by the state of affairs presented by the President and Committee Chairs. We will talk about current and ongoing initiatives and challenges we may be facing. This will be followed by a session on what we want to do moving forward; what our priorities will be for the coming year and what steps we will take to accomplish those priorities. We will make use of breakout rooms and instant surveys to engage members to the fullest. We will ensure that there are sufficient breaks and we will enjoy a virtual lunch together. 2:00 The session ends. We need everyone there to make this a success. Please mark your calendars and RSVP as soon as possible.

Today we will meet at our adopted Fallingbrook Park (681 Deancourt) at 10 a.m. to do our semi-annual cleanup. You may want to wear gloves and a container to hold the items found in the park. We will have bags to consolidate all garbage. We will also collect donated food items to support Janice Beaver's Interact Club's Food Bank initiative; they will aim at collecting 3 boxes of food, we are aiming at 2 boxes, as requested. I found a list of suggested items desired by Food Banks: applesauce, canned beans, canned chicken/fish/vegetables, cooking oil (olive, canola), crackers, dried herbs or spices, fruit (canned/dried), granola bars, instant mashed potatoes, meals in a box (e.g. pasta, rice, soup kits), nuts, pasta, peanut butter, canned soup/stew/chili, powdered milk, or whole grain cereals. Please consider bringing a donation(s) of food for this worthy cause. If you are unable to be there that day, you could drop off things to Xavier.
